Welcome to the Sybil Layous website. These terms and conditions apply to any purchase made from sybillayous.com. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding to payment.

 

Orders

 

Upon placing your order, you will receive an invoice via email. You can pay online via our payment platform, Stripe or via bank transfer. You will receive an order and shipping confirmation with the estimated delivery time by email. If, for any reason, we are unable to fulfill your order, you will be notified as soon as possible. If payment has already been received, the amount will be refunded using the same method used for the payment. If alternative arrangements are necessary, we will contact you to arrange the refund.

 

Prices and Payment

 

Sybil Layous 'shop' accepts the following payment methods: Bank Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express (via Stripe).

 

All prices are indicated in EUR. Local customs fees, taxes, and duties are not included. Please note that if your order is placed outside the EU, you may be subject to additional customs fees, taxes, and duties in the destination country. Sybil Layous is not responsible for these fees. The carrier will contact you in case of any extra charges or customs clearance, which might delay the delivery. It is your responsibility to pay for these extra charges.

 

Delivery and Shipping

 

All pieces you purchase at sybillayous.com are made to order unless otherwise stated. We will include a shipping fee in your invoice that covers packing, handling, and shipping costs to your destination. Please expect a lead time of 4-8 weeks to create, dry, fire, and ship your order. For larger orders, the lead time can be up to 10 weeks. For estimated delivery time and costs, please email contact@sybillayous.com as this will be on a case by case basis. We offer worldwide shipping. You can also collect your purchase in Paris to avoid shipping costs. Please email contact@sybillayous.com to arrange a visit and collection.

 

Returns and Refunds

 

Returns may be made within 14 days of receiving a piece purchased directly through sybillayous.com. If you wish to return a piece, it must be undamaged, unused, and clean. Please email contact@sybillayous.com before sending your piece back to confirm the return.

 

The item must be returned in its original packaging and properly wrapped. The costs associated with the return will be covered by you. The item must be shipped no later than 14 days after notifying us of your intention to return the purchase. Your refund will be credited to the same card used for the original purchase. Private commissions and custom-made pieces cannot be returned or refunded. Other refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you have a legitimate reason for a refund, please contact us at contact@sybillayous.com.

 

Defects and Complaints

 

The goods are insured in transit. Please verify the package and contents upon receipt. In case of damaged items in transit, please email contact@sybillayous.com within 24 hours of receiving the package with attached evidence photos. For complaints or orders not delivered, please contact contact@sybillayous.com.

 

Color and Shape

 

All ceramic pieces are handmade by Sybil Layous in her studio, crafted with care. Each piece is unique, and subtle nuances in form, color, and finish are inherent and expected, adding to the beauty and character of handmade work. These imperfections reflect the authenticity and individuality of each piece.

 

Every effort is made to ensure colors appear as realistic as possible. However, due to digital reproduction constraints on different web browsers, exact color depiction cannot be guaranteed.

 

Care and Use

 

To care for your ceramic piece, please use a damp cloth to gently wipe the surface. They are not dishwasher safe. Stoneware is a semi-porous material, so please ensure the piece you purchased is watertight if it’s intended for use with water. If not specified, assume it is not watertight. Please handle stoneware pieces delicately to avoid damage. Sybil Layous is not responsible for broken pieces due to mishandling. Depending on the surface you place the ceramic piece on, you may wish to attach felt pads or plastic cushions to the bottom to prevent scratches. Sybil Layous is not responsible for marks left on surfaces due to the textured bottom.

 

Security

 

Sybil Layous is committed to protecting your privacy. All information provided by you is received securely through SSL and will not be disclosed to any unauthorized third parties.

 

Governing Law

 

The agreement to sell and purchase items from sybillayous.com shall in all respects be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, excluding the conflict of law rules.
